Yukari came to the Netherlands in 1993 for the first time as a cultural ambassador and guest-teacher at a vocational school in Amsterdam. Her impression after 3 months: humans have much more in common than any superficial cultural differences may show.

The diversity of people and cultures in the world always fascinated Yukari. During her travels she was curious about how people live, think and what they eat. She sampled and tried to cook many regional cuisines. Interestingly the more cultures she was exposed to, the more she went back to her roots.
“I appreciate more & more the food of my country and love to cook Japanese dishes, but now with a touch of other cultures”

After working for a car company for 7.5 years, she has decided to pursue her life-long dream. The greatest pleasure she has is seeing the smile of friends enjoying her food.
